High Down breeds and exhibits large Rhode Island Reds,
with many winning the coveted Best of Breed trophies 

A very active bird, with compact build, good width and broad bodied.
The build is referred to as 'brick' shaped hence its strength of body.
The head is medium sized, fine with a red comb, single or rose type.
Wattles and ear lobes full and small in size. The beak is strong and horn coloured.
The eyes are red. The breed is good for egg production and meat quality
